Multi-talented songwriter and performer Nick Howe releases new

single; Wide Awake – out 26/06/20 (co-write w/ Billy Locket)

Wide Awake is the latest track from irrepressible London-based songwriter Nick Howe, a spirited piano ballad detailing a front row view of a friend’s battle with addiction, realisation and
process of recovery, co-written with Billy Locket.

“Its relatable to today, especially during lockdown, as many of us have been forced to look inward without many of the usual distractions and temptations of life. I hope it might provide comfort for people going through the same struggles during lockdown”

Hailing from a long line of family entertainers dating back 200 years, including May Warden from Dinner For One   the  Nick Howe is a consummate musician who simply does not take his foot off the gas! His relentless drive has forged minor opportunities into significant career milestones, including syncs with Cadbury’s and Angry Birds. He’s also acted in the ITV series Lewis and performed at Glastonbury*

With his inherent knack for creating killer low-key hooks, Nick Howe writes to process his emotions and experiences and treats his music as therapy.

His debut E.P 'Struggle Is Real' reached No. 1 in the singer songwriter presale iTunes charts back in 2016 and sold over 2000 copies. 

 

Touring over 15 countries including the US and extensively throughout Scandinavia and Germany, Nick gigs an average of 200 shows per year, including sold out gigs at home in venues such Cargo, Kensington Roof gardens and even The Natural History Museum – which he lists as a career highlight!

Nick has also co-written music with Ivor Novello winning songwriter Iain Archer (James Bay, Jake
Bugg, Snow Patrol), Matty Benbrook (Paolo Nutini, Jack Savoretti, Dido, Faithless) amongst others
and will be releasing new music throughout the lockdown and 2020.

Nick is especially notable for his foresight and ingenuity to look outside of the immediate music industry - its not surprising Nick recently managed to singularly rally 35 professional dancers from all over the world, to help create an impacting film for his recent single 'It Belongs To Her'.

Nick is currently performing alongside a world-class beatboxer and a violinist, making his live show completely unique. He performed on ITV news for the Keep Streets Live Campaign and worked on the Long Live Southbank
campaign, due to his passion for the Southbank space and rollerblading.

Nick will continue to build upon his already significant career achievements.
